  1. Please don’t put in your luggage any kind of fuel for camp stoves. You will find plenty of wood and it is forbidden and danger to carry this kind of item
  2. We will have 2 transfers for the basecamp, at 9.30 AM and at 11.00 AM, please check your personal page and be sure that your flight details are correct. If you want arrive in early morning but you want to be on the bus of 11.00 Am please tell it to us. A transfer will pick up also all the runners sleeping at the Intercontinental Hotel. The pick up time will be communicated to you at the reception. Runners sleeping in other hotels can come directly to the airport meeting point.
  3. Tents will be assigned to the runners on day one. Once a tent is assigned it will be your home for all the race. If you are running with a group of friends you can decide to stay all in the same tent. Tent are not organized by nationality like in other races but upon your choice. This helps the competitors of the race to socialize.
  4. Personal bags. After the race start all the personal bags will be stored in a locked deposit. Your bag will be handed to you at the finish line of the race.
  5. Dress code. on stage 1 we will be crossing the center of the village of Bidiyah and we recommend female runners to wear long pants. Runners who wear long pants on stage one will be allowed to change them with short pants after the stage, and have them back at the end of the race.
  6. Daily rankings and updates we will post the daily ranking and updates on our website and and facebook page. We will post photos, video and comments about each stage. Your family and friends will be constantly informed about how the race is going. Please tell them to follow our page https://www.facebook.com/omandesertmarathon/ and the hashtag #odm4
  7. Email and Cellphones: your fiends and family will be able to send you short messages that will be printed and handed to you at the camp. A form will be online on our website after the race start.
    Cell phones: there is no phone coverage for most of the race, we suggest you to leave your phone in your bag and to carry a small camera. However, if you decide to bring with you and try to use your phone, we kindly ask you to do it at the camp borders, in order to keep unaltered the desert experience for the other runners.
  8. Guest and additional needs: if you asked to have a private transfer to or from the airport or you have guests before or after the race, we ask you to confirm all those details before leaving to Oman.

      3. Insurance card: runners without valid insurance will not be allowed to start the race.
      4. You will need to provide this documents at the equipment check and bib distribution. Bibs will be given on November 4th. To better organize the bib distribution and equipment check we will organize it in groups and a list of the time to show up will be posted at the basecamp once you arrive.
